Deadly Maths Consortium
The Deadly Maths Consortium comprises four complementary programs that aim to improve Indigenous capacity in mathematics: Deadly Maths, YuMi Maths, Indigenous VET, and Deadly Degrees.
The Deadly Maths and YuMi Maths programs are composed of projects in schools to enhance the learning of mathematics by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students respectively, in which researchers work collaboratively with teachers, teacher aides and community members. The Indigenous VET program aims to enhance Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander VET mathematics learning. The Deadly Degrees program is supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to enrol in and complete research degrees, and non-Indigenous students to undertake research into Indigenous issues.
All Deadly Maths Consortium programs aim to improve Indigenous life chances and opportunities for employment.
